THE ISSUE
Federal authoritarian overreach is accelerating, and protections that once safeguarded people’s rights, health, and economic security are being dismantled. The future of democracy, economic security, and public trust depends on bold state leadership.

THE RESPONSE
Across the country, state policymakers are rising to meet this moment - fighting for the rule of law, advancing labor rights, protecting health care, and strengthening voting rights and election systems. But too often, they’re doing it alone. Without the infrastructure to connect and coordinate their efforts, even the most innovative state-level work remains siloed - limiting the power states could wield together.
