State Futures is a hub for cohorts of values-aligned state policymakers engaged in cross-state peer learning and multi-state action. As states emerge as increasingly powerful venues for bold progress, our network of forward-thinking leaders collaborates on initiatives that serve communities, advance democratic values, and transform markets. We equip state policymakers with the networks, resources, policy and strategic support they need to protect democratic institutions and drive meaningful change, ensuring that state-level transformation happens faster, smarter, and with greater collective impact. Through path-breaking research, we investigate state-level voting trends including down-ballot roll-off. And through public education, we raise the visibility and salience of state policies and leaders, amplifying their role in shaping the nation’s future.
